Broken TrustTrust is something fragile
Once you break it
It is hard to get back again
Just like the softest rose petals
That withers and dies
Or the stem of that gentle rose
Once it snaps you can
Never get it back
You sit there and watch it
Fade away........

Then you look at that person
With jaded eyes
Looking at them
With the emptiness you feel inside
Knowing it will never be the same
Wondering if you truly knew
Them at all
No Clearer Than MudThere is so much pain, so much hurt
Too many of the good are treated like dirt
I try and try to help, to take some pain away
So many people will never see the new day

Humans are a terror to their own race
We spread our diseases all over the place
We kill our children, rape our women
And the guilty are punished only now and then

When was it that people were ashamed of their own kind?
When did we get to be so ignorant and blind?
To kill and rape and destroy our own blood
Is to say that the human race is no purer than mud

Those strong of heart and caring souls
To help those close begins to take its toll
Exhausted and worried to the
Forever With YouForever With You

Can you promise me forever?
That you will always be mine,
Loving me for always
Time knowing no bounds

This heart of mine,
I am giving to you,
To watch over and love,
And hold ever so true,

I hold your hand
Entwining it with mine
Squeezing it gently
As I look into your eyes

Eyes that show what I feel
My love and all that I fear
Emotions running so deep
As I drown looking at you

You hold me close,
But will you always be there,
Will you chase away the shadows?
And bring me light again?

I take you in my arms
And hold you close
Whispering in your ear
I will never let you go.
Center StageI shall sit in front of the mirror
And will not complain
Applying my make up
Trying not to go insane
Each layer I add
Covers up the pain

Once it is done
No tears will one see
Just a doll dressed up
Heading into act three

A smile on my face
As sweet laughter sounds
The makeup covering
All my frowns.

Walking on stage
I take a bow
Because no matter what
The show must go on
Just Another DayJust another Day

I try not to cry, though my eyes burn,
Fighting for air, as my chest tightens up,
Needing to scream, yet nothing comes out,
I ache inside, but I don't complain,
It's just another day, of my life,
So what is left to say?

Now I shall end this, morbid poem,
Crawling back into my shell,
And get my emotions under control,
I will look at you, once more with a smile,
So you won't see all that I hide inside,
Something to Live ForAn angel filled with dread
Her beating heart has bled
Tears fill her loving eyes
And yet she refuses to cry

An angel with a golden heart
Her pain impossible to tell apart
Wrists drip with crimson blood
Staining skin soft as a flower bud

She looks across the night sky
Wanting nothing but to fly
Invisible wings eager to break free
Her heart screams like a banshee

But her thoughts linger on her family
Her friends and family who she might never again see
They love her more than she might ever comprehend
Love that will forever and for always transcend

The blade drops and tears begin to fall
The sadness begins to wash away, sadness
Even Angels Need A Helping HandEvery human that will walk this earth
Has a purpose and has a worth
From birth to grave, from life to death
Until they breathe their very last breath
Their path is laid out before them

Some are destined to help others
To act as parents, sisters and brothers
To bring light into a vast sea of darkness
Working to the bone and never less

Others might be tasked to sit on the sidelines
Waiting and watching for tell-tale signs
Helping without face-to-face interaction
Discerning what help to give from other's actions

Then there are the Angels, the light givers
Their love all-encompassing like a grand river
It is their nature to help a
DiveI've been running for so long
Trying to survive on my own
I look around and I see
Is it pity or sympathy

So many people that were supposed to care
So many hearts that just wasnt there
I keep on running
I keep on pushing so no one can see

I run and I scream
I even fall on my knees
I run and I jump
I fall into the sea

It covers
All the waves wash over me
The water so cold
I feel like I belong

How long
How long
This water haze is all I see
So dark
So cold
I regret everything

I pray some day
Only a few more seconds left

I wanna dive deep down
Run from something bigger than me
Swim away as fast as I can
Its stil

Angel: A kind, charming, lovable person

You’re an angel by definition and name,
Yet your wings have been shredded so many time
It’s hard to see the feathers through the blood;
Hold on Angel,
There are those who surround you
With their broken-winged companionship,
And who will love you until the end,
No matter what happens or has happened.

Oh my Angel,
My darling friend,
Don’t give up,
‘Tis not your end.
Lift up your eyes,
From the depths of Hell,
And watch those who care,
Those whose love swells.

As you scurry to gather scattered feathers,
In hopes of building your wings anew,
Don’t re
Healing HugsLaying in the bed,
I listen to the moans.
The sound of the dying.

The shadows hide me,
So I can be alone.
Try to take care of myself.
To get myself back to my feet.

It's not a sickness,
or a wound,
But a blow to the heart.

The shattered hearts laying on the floor,
surrounded by the pieces of souls.
Tread on by the visitors,
Only caring about their own.

I watch the world go by,
As I lay here,
Frozen in time.
Ever since you broke my heart.

Waiting for Time to heal me,
But she passes by everyday.
Sometimes stabbing me along the way.

I cried out for help,
But most just went on their way.
Not wanting to see another cripple.
Once Happy DreamOnce Happy Dream

What was once given has now been ripped from me.
A love once was given from a fragile heart to you so free.
Laughter and joy has now a dark cold shadow, filled with loneliness that is all I now see.
My soul burns with a fire from all of my souls tears.
Holding on to what slips through figure tips grip; growing is hells nightmarish fears.

Who sins shall I be forced, too pay for; how long will this fragile heart stay strong.
You are everything; even now as I sit lost my love still lasts for forever's walk is long.
Clawing, reaching, and stretching for your warm light to free me from my darkness.
Were these forgotten me
Growing into a manI remember the glory days, back when I could do something and forget my ways.
Why are things so hard now, I thought it would be easy.
Growing to be a man ain't so easy, not a kid anymore I have to make decisions.
Am I gonna fuck up in life, or complete my visions.
To be a good man and follow that plan, or sit around and be that dope man.
All men go through shit at times and be ready to flip,
and know he about to go through some deep emotional shit.
He has this weight on his shoulders, shit so heavy it feels like a two ton boulder.
He's about to let loose, his troubles are wrap around his neck like a noose.
It's to much now he finall
Time for a changeIt's time for a change, tired of all the pain.
Tired of the struggle, and of the hustle.
I work for damn near nothing, I get my check,
spend my check then there's nothing.
I'm cussing, fussing this shit not right,
but in the back of my mind I know I'm losing this fight.
I complain about what I don't have, but do nothing about it.
That shits gonna change now and I'm about to shout it.
I'm gonna open that book, study then I'm gonna look back.
Look back to when I wrote this poem, like dam I showed them I did it.
I'm well off now, no more fighting in my head, no more tears to shed.
It's time for a change not only for me, but for my be
Regret that painThe way we talk, so mean so violent.

Hurting people with your words made that boy become silent.

Defiant with his words, like dam is this really what I heard.

He try to stay calm and keep his cool, but inside is where I lose it.

Trying to tell myself don't lose it, you choose it.

Choose not to snap, break his back, and then soon after choose to regret that.

I bit my tongue, swallowed my pride, soon after wiped A tear off my eye.

They said leave don't come back, Only one time I looked back and said,

How can she do me like that.

I do not cry
I do not scream
What is the use
No one will hear
This echoing silence
Inside of me

My Second Skin

Look deeply into my eyes  
And you will see  
The silent tears I don't shed  
The pain lying deep within  
 
Look past my smile  
The laughter you hear  
Beneath it is a layer  
That echoes the pain  
I feel  
 
If you truly know me  
You will see  
Past the mask I where  
You will know  
What is inside of me.  
 
Masks are real  
mine is apart of me  
I wear to stay safe  
I wear it to stay sane

If it ever shatters  
If it ever breaks  
I'm not sure I'd make it  
I would become undone  
 
It is better this way  
I honestly feel  
No one really could handle  
The real me they would see  

Or maybe I am the one  
who will not be able
to deal with the one  
who would be revealed

I have worn my mask  
For far too long  
A safe haven for me  
Saving me from harm

Sometimes I do think I'm alone with the feelings you just described. Frightening how exact I can identify myseklf with that poem. Well written and thanks for making me understand an important thing :)

Very well written!!! I felt this way, until 7 months ago and I am in my mid 40s. Not a great feeling, it is best to be who you really are and let people love you for that. Tc and God bless
